A thorough examination to help detect and prevent health issues early.
Urinalysis (testing the urine) is an important diagnostic test that allows our veterinarians to see if there are any urinary tract diseases, or how well the urinary tract is working. A urinalysis may be performed alone or along with other diagnostics. Things that can be detected in a urinalysis can be urinary tract infections, urinary crystals and how well the kidneys are working at concentrating the urine.
If a urinalysis detects that your dog has a urinary tract infection, our veterinarians will discuss the appropriate course of treatment with you.
