Arthritis can be caused both by trauma and by age. It is normally caused by the deterioration of joint cartilage in your dog’s joints, which leads to chronic inflammation.

What are some treatment options for arthritis in dogs?

Arthritis can be treated with medications, specialized diets, certain supplements (as recommended by your veterinarian) and cold laser therapy.

Can I give my dog aspirin?

We do not recommend that you administer any medications, especially ones for people unless discussed first with your veterinarian. Certain medications that are recommended for humans may cause severe side effects and health issues with your dog.
