After-Hours Emergency Care Services

To better meet the needs of our pet community during emergencies, we have joined a shared emergency on-call group for after-hours emergencies from 7 PM to 8 AM every day of the week, starting July 2nd at 7 PM.

This group is a collaboration among several local animal hospitals, including:

  • Avalon Animal Hospital
  • Sunrise Animal Hospital
  • Torbay Road Animal Hospital
  • Terra Nova Veterinary Clinic
  • Baccalieu Trail Animal Hospital
  • Topsail Road Veterinary Clinic
  • Paradise Animal Hospital
  • Kenmount Road Animal Hospital
  • CBS Animal Hospital
  • Memorial Animal Hospital
  • St. John’s Veterinary Hospital

How It Works

  • After hours: Please call Sunrise Animal Hospital at 709-368-7981 and press 8 for an emergency.
  • Call forwarding: Your call will be forwarded to our Emergency line.
  • On-call clinic: You will be directed to the on-call clinic.
  • No specific clinic: If you do not have one, call our line and let us know, and you will be directed to the hospital on-call.

VSC will continue to handle emergencies Monday - Thursday from 7 PM to 8 AM.
