As far back as I can remember, I’ve been an animal lover. They’ve always been able to bring a smile to my face, and joy to my heart. After spending a few years soul-searching, I decided to see if a career in veterinary medicine would be right for me. In 2005, I enrolled in the Academy Canada Vet Assistant program and instantly knew I had chosen correctly, taking tests about dog breeds? I couldn’t believe my luck! In 2006 I joined my first clinic, and have filled just about every role imaginable since. I’ve learned something new pretty much every day, and that’s one of the many reasons I’m still loving it 12 years later.

I joined the clinic in 2013. My biggest interest and deepest passion is educating anyone and everyone on the importance of responsible breeding practices and informed puppy purchasing. My first pet was a little black and white rabbit named Wiggles. What I love about my job is being surrounded by passionate people who fight for those who cannot fight for themselves. I love that you can be having the worst kind of day, and one snuggle from a sweet patient makes it all go away. My favourite thing about Sunrise Animal Hospital is the compassion that pours from everyone who works here. I am 100% obsessed with my best buddy, my perfect Pug, Mabel. She has better outfits than I do, and eats better too!
